Komunidad Global is scaling up its ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) & Sustainability Suite with a Voluntary Carbon Marketplace feature through its newest partnership with Europe-based climate technology startup Cloverly.
Komunidad has inked a deal with Cloverly, it’s first sustainability partnership with a European startup, as a way to enhance their ESG & Sustainability Suite by offering access to the Voluntary Carbon Market, a solution for organizations and businesses to offset excess emissions.
As the pressure to operationalize sustainability continues, low carbon investments as well as emission mitigation activities are at the crosshairs of both private and public sectors. As a supplement to emission reduction efforts, Voluntary Carbon Markets allow organizations to offset unavoidable emissions by purchasing carbon credits emitted by audited and verified climate action projects targeted at removing or reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions from the atmosphere.
Through this partnership, clients with access to its ESG & Sustainability Suite can choose ways to offset their carbon emission through natural (e.g. avoided deforestation) or technological processes (e.g. landfill gas capture). Also, organizations with strong carbon reduction efforts can submit their projects for third party verification and sell credits through the marketplace.
Komunidad’s ESG & Sustainability Suite is a comprehensive sustainability platform that allows organizations and businesses to streamline their sustainability processes through automation of data collection, analysis of greenhouse gas emissions and report creation following global standards.
COO Allister Ayque shared that the partnership with Cloverly solidifies a holistic Sustainability Suite Service.
“We will be able to expand our sustainability suite by integrating a VCM that enables immediate action toward reaching climate goals through a comprehensive platform of technology and direct carbon credit purchasing solutions,” he said.
Through this partnership, Komunidad will break new ground in climate solutions.
The enhanced Suite will be launched at a knowledge-sharing event hosted by Komunidad and the Business Sustainable Development on September 20, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Rizal Room, Manila House, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.
