Komunidad and Aloi Partner to Build Smarter Safety Nets with Data and Digital Aid

The collaboration aims to empower local governments and organizations with anticipatory systems that link climate data with fast, trackable financial support for vulnerable communities.

Singapore, July 9, 2025 — Komunidad, a climate action management company, and Aloi, a digital disbursement platform for inclusive finance, have joined forces to pilot a forward-looking approach to disaster response in the Philippines. The initiative combines real-time early warning systems with cashless, accountable disbursement tools, designed to help local governments act ahead of disasters.

In its initial phase, the partnership will work with local government units (LGUs) to pilot a system that enables automated weather-triggered cash relief, particularly for low-income and informal workers in flood- and typhoon-prone areas. By delivering aid through mobile wallets upon verified climate alerts, the project aims to cut response time and increase transparency in disaster risk management.
